Our Team Part 4

Here you see Mister V (Wi), or rather Mister Valentino!
He has been with us for a total of eight years, loyal, reliable, hard working, his 75 years are not to be seen. He can run like a young man and if he goes to church on Sundays (hopefully again soon), he is the "smartest" (the best dressed) of them all. He is a security guard and gardener and can even make small repairs on the cars.
In the photo next to it, our carpenter, Mister Okumu, is the man who manufactures all of the furniture in our factory, whether beds for the hotel or school desks, everything is handcrafted to a high quality using the simplest tools.
Next you see his helper Wilbur, who is actually still at school, he is only in the third grade, until two years ago he only looked after cattle and saw no school from the inside, we enable him and his brother to go to school. During the holidays and in lockdown he earns pocket money, helps and learns carpentry at the same time.
Then there is Jotham, Wilbur's father. He works for us as a compound keeper in school, which naturally includes slashing (cutting grass with a kind of machete), his wife looks after the little ones in kindergarten.

Love and Blessings from Uganda
Stay healthy!!!

Vision

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
(Jak. 1:27)

Our current project

With your help, the kitchen and the dormitories could be completed. Thank you so much to everyone who was there for us!

A simple community school is currently needed. Not all children in the surrounding villages can attend our school because the distances are too great and the paths too dangerous. Again and again you can encounter elephants, buffalos or other animals that cross to the Nile to drink water. For this reason we decided to build a primary school with four classrooms in one of the villages so that all children can go to school.

Such a building with four classrooms costs about 12,000 euros. A lot of thanks to a generous donation from Denmark, we were able to credit 3,500 euros. So we are only missing 8,500 euros.

A big thank you to everyone who makes this project possible. You can donate directly here.
