Bush Fire

Unfortunately, we were not spared this year either. However, from the experience of many years we know how to react, especially since we have practically no water here. There is no central water supply, water is laboriously pumped up from a depth of 85m with a hand pump and otherwise we have to bring water from the nearest small town by truck in the dry season.

Good question - how do you fight a hundreds of meters wide bush fire without water? - you set a counter fire and of course you have to be careful that the fire does not go in the wrong direction. You need cut branches and as many helpers as possible.

In the photos you can see how the boys from our school are working hard and enthusiastically. With their help, the fire was contained after a few hours.

Stay healthy and rest assured, we are saved and protected under God's mighty hand.

Love and Blessings from the Bush

Classrooms and Accommodation

At our village school in Got Apwoyo, we need more classrooms and accommodation for teachers. Currently, we only have the capacity to teach children from kindergarten to third grade. Many of the children then have to stop attending school because their parents don't have the money to send them to boarding school.
To start with, we need €10,000 for one classroom and two basic teacher accommodations.

Thank you so much for every contribution, no matter how small or large – every euro counts!

Vision

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
