Our Perazim
Perazim (pronounced “perasim”) is located in the Nwoya District, Northwest Uganda. It is in close proximity to the Murchison Falls National Park, and 10km from the small city of Pakwach. Point A on the map below shows the location of Perazim:
The property is 60ha and is directly on the main road, Gulu Arua Road. A good connection to and from Kampala the capital city of Uganda.
In August 2011 we were able to purchase the land through a very large financial gift that we had received. Now the challenge is to work the land and start building on it as we have very big plans for it. However, as we all know, In Africa things take a little longer than usual.
The next diagram, done by hand, illustrates an overview of our plans for the land and the buildings that need to be built. This is just the start and in no way illustrates the complete picture.
We were able to purchase the property in August 2011 thanks to a generous donation. The plan is to build a school center (primary school, secondary school, vocational school) with a boarding school, an infirmary and a hotel with a hotel management school. A community center and a kindergarten have been built in the neighboring village.
