Our precious girls

Brenda Atim has a Muslim father who left his wife and children because they were unwilling to give up their Christian faith. As a four-year-old Brenda was beaten with a machete by her mentally ill aunt, which left deep marks in her soul. The mother lives in extreme poverty and Brenda has spent most of the time with us for eight years. We call them our pastor and evangelist. She loves to share the word of God.

Mary Akello is an orphan and she has also been with us almost continuously for over eight years. Whenever she spends part of the vacation at home, she comes back emaciated and with traces of abuse.

Josephine and Lilian are also orphans. Her mother worked for us as a cook until her death, she was very active in our parish. Both live with their aunt who wanted to force them into prostitution in order to contribute to the income. Lilian is just 14 and Josephine 16 years old.

Florence came to us in June after resisting her uncle's sexual advances for three months. In revenge, he then simply set fire to the grass roof of the hut in which she slept. Only by a miracle was she able to escape with her siblings.
Winnis and Prossy's life in their village is marked by fear and hardship. Their grandmother, who they live with, practices magic and drinks. So the two girls are mostly left to their own devices.

Eunice is 14 years old, she only came to us two weeks ago. She is one of the best students in our school. She lived with her mother in the neighboring village. In early October, she was brutally raped while fetching water. We did everything to get the perpetrator behind bars, but apparently the judges and / or police were bribed and the man is free again. In addition, he has already tried to rape someone in the village several times. Unfortunately, fair justice is often a foreign word here.

As everywhere in the world, the number of domestic and sexual violence has risen extremely due to Corona in Uganda and we pray that the schools will soon be completely reopened so that at least part of normalcy can return.
We are very grateful that we can at least give these eight girls a safe home.

Love and Blessings from the rainy season

Our current project

Classrooms and Accommodation

At our village school in Got Apwoyo, we need more classrooms and accommodation for teachers. Currently, we only have the capacity to teach children from kindergarten to third grade. Many of the children then have to stop attending school because their parents don't have the money to send them to boarding school.
To start with, we need €10,000 for one classroom and two basic teacher accommodations.

Thank you so much for every contribution, no matter how small or large – every euro counts!

Vision

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
(Jak. 1:27)
