Auch die Schulen sind immer noch nicht wieder geöffnet, die Hotels und Nationalparks dagegen schon, aber es gibt so gut wie keine Besucher, da der Flugverkehr komplett eingestellt wurde.
Doch unsere lieben Mitarbeiter sind hier bei uns und ich möchte die Gelegenheit nutzen Euch zwei weitere Mitarbeiter vorzustellen.
Da ist einmal Mary Ocaya, sie wäscht und bügelt die Wäsche fürs Hotel und hilft beim Putzen. Sie ist mehrfache Großmutter , sie kümmert sich um insgesamt 23! Enkelkinder deren Eltern an Aids gestorben.
Obwohl sie auf einem Fuß lahm ist, hat arbeitet sie sehr hart, dazu hat sie immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen und am besten sind unsere Konversationen, sie spricht weder Englisch noch ich Alur. Mit Händen und Füssen und viel Lachen bekommen wir es doch immer wieder hin uns zu verständigen.
Tartizio ist unser neuer Fahrer. Er ist 71 Jahre alt, hat sich aber im Vorstellungsgespräch gleich mal 25 Jahre jünger gemacht um die Arbeit zu bekommen.Und das flunkern hat sich gelohnt, er bekam den Job und wir sind alle sehr happy, dass er bei uns ist. Er ist äusserst zuverlässig und pünktlich und er versteht es sehr gut unsere zwei alten LKWs durch Schlammpisten und Schlaglöcher zu manövrieren.

Our current project

Classrooms and Accommodation

At our village school in Got Apwoyo, we need more classrooms and accommodation for teachers. Currently, we only have the capacity to teach children from kindergarten to third grade. Many of the children then have to stop attending school because their parents don't have the money to send them to boarding school.
To start with, we need €10,000 for one classroom and two basic teacher accommodations.
