Paper beads

Winning women-Mama washindi

This is the name of a women's group in Gulu, which had already joined forces during the rebel war. The majority of women are widows and HIV positive.

The aim of this group is to build their own existence by making handcrafted products.

The name is a program and a symbol for defeating poverty and misery on its own.
With the proceeds, the women can feed their families, pay their own children's school fees and even buy their own piece of land.

Through their years of experience in the production of paper jewelry and other products such as bags, placemats and much more, it is possible to offer high quality.
With every purchase of such a lovingly crafted item you will help to give dignity to the lives of these women.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
(Jak. 1:27)
