After all, our sponsorship program has been in existence for 11 years and as a result, some children and young people have already gone through the training program. I would like to introduce you to some.
There is Deogracia's Okello. Both parents died of AIDS and he was living with his leper grandmother when we met him. His sponsorship in another organization had been terminated because there was no more money available. Completely desperate, he was looking for someone who could help him in his school career. His grandmother found it impossible to support him and his summer jobs didn't bring in enough. So we stepped in and he was able to graduate from high school and complete an apprenticeship as an assistant accountant. He has been working for us as an accountant and in the cash register for three years now. He is extremely accurate and reliable. He also takes care of the video program for the students at the weekend and is affectionately called "Big Brother" by them. It's hard to believe that he's already married and that his wife is expecting a baby soon.

Agnes and Lisa came to us when they were preschool and went through elementary school. They then took a course in hotel management and are currently both doing internships at our lodge, Lisa as a waitress and in housekeeping and Agnes as a chef.
Agne's parents are no longer alive and she would never have had a chance for an education. She lives with her sister, who has many children of her own and for whom it would have been impossible to help her pay the school fees. The same applies to Lisa, when she was 5 years old her father died of AIDS and left his wife with 7 small children. It would have been completely impossible for her to enable her daughter to go to school.

There are many more such wonderful success stories and I will tell them here again and again. And those who are not yet part of such a story can register on our website
www. fnts-afrika.de under "sponsors wanted". There is always someone who needs help in fulfilling their dream of what we consider to be a normal life.

So now I wish you a blessed 4th Advent!
By the way, it's not very much like Advent here, the hot dry season is just beginning

Vision

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
(Jak. 1:27)

Our current project

With your help, the kitchen and the dormitories could be completed. Thank you so much to everyone who was there for us!

A simple community school is currently needed. Not all children in the surrounding villages can attend our school because the distances are too great and the paths too dangerous. Again and again you can encounter elephants, buffalos or other animals that cross to the Nile to drink water. For this reason we decided to build a primary school with four classrooms in one of the villages so that all children can go to school.

Such a building with four classrooms costs about 12,000 euros. A lot of thanks to a generous donation from Denmark, we were able to credit 3,500 euros. So we are only missing 8,500 euros.

A big thank you to everyone who makes this project possible. You can donate directly here.
